Title
Delta Deutschland Blues
Artist
Kevin Callahan
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
Delta Deutschland Blues is from my Blues series honoring street musicians I find playing in cities around the world. This one is from Berlin. The abstract background is from a watercolor I did in my sketchbook flying from Berlin to London. The delta references the birthplace of the Blues and the airline on which I was flying. In Berlin I was struck by the combination of East Germany and West Germany. The East still retains a Russian flavor.

Love this lively painting full of music and laughter. It reminds me of the buskers on the Paris metro (although it's in Berlin) Brilliant artwork!

Kevin, I'm, back again to say YOU ROCK! Your work is magnificent. I don't know how you get all the details so right, but you DO. So Shine On, Anne

Kevin, This is another of your extraordinary art entries on FAA. I like the way your have your stuff organized into galleries. Once when I get my proverbial ducks in a row, perhaps I will do the same. This is a bit late but i want to THANK YOU for letting me cry on your shoulder and other artists' respective shoulders ABOUT MY FAILURE TO SELL KOKOPELLI ON A MARMALADE MOON NIGHT because of incorrect resolution and not enough megapixels, whatever they are. YOur encouranging words and sharing your experience made me feel much better. Stay warm, Anne

Strong composition. I like the patterns of vertical and diagonal lines. The contrasting curve of the accordian creates terrific movement and energy.

I saw this on the new works, no words. I really like the way the background works with the accordian

Kevin, I love all your paintings but the composition and the human study in this painting is very outstanding!
